Burst the Bubble!

Working on your own often means you miss getting feedback on your ideas and can go round in circles wondering if you're doing the right thing.  Problem solving and decision making can be a challenge if you're doing it all alone, working in a bubble.
This interactive workshop gave the opportunity to:

-  Get tips on how and where to sell your work, from peers and Business Coach Dan Maier.
-  Get help on aspects of your business which you might be struggling with.
-  Ask your peers for supplier recommendations to shortcut the slog of endless research.
-  Ask for feedback on products or projects you're working on and new ideas to kick start your 2016 creative vision.

Creative Exchange was founded to combat the isolation of lone workers and this event is an opportunity to bring along your work for some feedback from your peers and Business Coach Dan Maier, who hosted the event at her studio in Southgate.  The evening was an informal forum aimed to give everyone some help and was geared around those who attended and the issues they brought up. Each attendee was invited to submit a question a week before the event. Questions were handled on a first come basis.

Dan Maier started her business in a neighbour's bedroom in Southgate, she grew from a one-man band to a company employing 20 people and selling around the world.  Described by
The Times as "the Philip Treacy of the lighting world", Dan sold her lighting designs through Harvey Nichols and Liberty with best-sellers in Heals and John Lewis.  She now shares her experience working as a business coach and mentor and has assisted 100's of small businesses over the past decade.
